Mentors are extremely valuable and under utilized today. For many years now, our society has pushed the idea/agenda that everyone needs to go to College. While College can be valuable, it should be treated as a stepping stone. Unfortunately many have bought into the idea that College is the end of their education. We should never stop our education, we should always strive to increase our knowledge base. While schools can teach us some fundamentals, Mentors can help us to shorten our learning curve. Mentors help guide us in putting our knowledge in to action and help to fill in the gaps that schooling has left. Mentors should be essential in your life.
